Singapore's dense urban core traps heat, and the hottest streets are rarely the greenest. This project maps the city's heat corridors block by block, pinpointing where rising temperatures bite hardest and where a corridor of trees, shade, and water could bring measurable relief.

Each proposed corridor is modelled before a single tree is planted, so planners can see the expected drop in surface temperature and the gain in walkable comfort. The result is a prioritised plan for greening the routes people actually use, turning urban cooling from an aspiration into a set of concrete, testable interventions.

The corridors are chosen with people in mind, not just temperature. Routes to schools, transit stops, and markets take priority, so the cooling lands where the most walking happens and where shade does the most to keep the city moving on its hottest days.

Once built, each corridor becomes a live experiment. Sensors track whether the modelled relief holds up in practice, feeding results back into the next round of planting so the approach sharpens with every street, rather than being fixed once and forgotten.
