Dr Wei-Chen Lim is a Senior Research Fellow in remote sensing, mapping land-surface temperature and canopy cover from satellite passes across the region's cities. His work turns each overpass into a clear picture of where heat concentrates and where green cover is thinning.

By fusing satellite imagery with ground sensors, he produces the spatial layers that underpin much of the lab's urban-climate analysis, helping planners see cooling and warming patterns at the scale of a whole metropolitan area.
