Daniel Tan turns sensor networks and city open data into the models behind the lab's findings. He designs the pipelines that gather, clean, and connect data from many sources, so that a researcher's question can be answered with evidence rather than guesswork.

Much of his work is invisible by design: when the data flows reliably, the science moves faster and the conclusions hold up to scrutiny.
