Her work documents the everyday adaptations residents make, from raised walkways to shared pumps, that rarely appear in official plans but shape how a neighbourhood survives the rains.

By taking these community responses seriously as design knowledge, she argues for planning that builds on what works locally rather than overriding it, especially where natural drainage and green space can be strengthened.
