The Mangrove Restoration Alliance funds coastal-wetland restoration and the nature-based flood defence it provides along Indonesia's shorelines. Its grants support research that quantifies how healthy mangroves buffer storms, store carbon, and sustain the communities that depend on them.
The alliance works closely with local partners so that restoration is led by, and accountable to, the people living on the coast.
